I’m quoting David Spell, reviewer and mind-reader, after he finished with my first collection, Dark Tales. He was right, I grew up on a farm, or two. I spent days running through the woods with my dog. Life was hard but free when you got away. Books were an escape, if you could find a place to hide and read. I like to create those spaces for others now. This is kind of a bookmark, I’ll write more of a biography later, but David had it right, my biography is woven through my stories. He called me on it, pointed out things specifically, here and there. Clever man.
